HoneyBook AI is included on every HoneyBook plan. It drafts email replies in your tone for you to edit and send, flags leads likely to book, suggests follow ups, takes meeting notes, summarises projects and can build a workflow from a description. What we didn’t find on HoneyBook’s own pages is AI that answers phone calls or replies to texts and DMs on its own. Here’s what it does, checked 22 October 2026, and when each one is the better choice.

What HoneyBook AI is built for
HoneyBook AI is built to take admin off your plate: writing, planning and preparing. HoneyBook describes it as AI that understands your clients, projects and finances and learns your tone of voice. It sits inside HoneyBook’s client management, so its drafts and summaries use your project details.
Allio’s AI is built for a different job: answering the enquiries that come in while you’re shooting, by text, Instagram, Facebook and phone, and booking the session.

Where the phone fits
HoneyBook added Business Phone and SMS as a paid add-on for members in the US and Canada. It gives you a dedicated business number; incoming calls are forwarded to your own phone, and calls from known contacts are recorded and summarised. You, or whoever holds that phone, still answer.
In Allio, the AI receptionist can answer the studio number after hours or while you’re shooting, answer questions, book the session and save the call, transcript and summary on the client’s record. Calls can be recorded once you’ve set up the notices your callers’ locations require.
Where HoneyBook AI genuinely wins
Breadth of admin help. Lead scoring, follow-up nudges, lead enrichment, a daily action plan and project summaries cover a lot of the paperwork side of a studio.
Meeting notes in person. HoneyBook lists notes from in-person meetings as well as online ones, handy for consultations at the studio.
Price of entry. HoneyBook AI is listed on HoneyBook’s lowest plan, so you get it without upgrading.
Email-first studios. If nearly every enquiry arrives by email and you like to send every reply yourself, drafts in your tone may be all the AI you need.
Which one you should pick
Choose HoneyBook if
your enquiries arrive mostly by email, you’re happy to answer every message and call yourself, and you want AI that helps you write, plan and prepare.
Choose Allio if
enquiries arrive by text, Instagram, Facebook and phone, you miss some while you’re shooting, and you want AI that answers and books, with you approving each reply until you trust it.
